Research Support Hub
Services available to research teams: methodology, biostatistics, data management, and grant support.
The SMRC Research Support Hub (RSH) provides comprehensive support to St. Mary’s Hospital Center (SMHC) clinicians, researchers and their trainees at every stage of their projects, from conception to completion. By offering a range of pre- and post-award services, scientific consultation, and knowledge translation support, the RSH aims to streamline research processes and empower SMHC researchers to focus on the essence of their work.
SMRC provides support for eligible members of the St. Mary’s community who are conducting or plan to conduct research projects aimed at generating new knowledge, or research projects evaluating quality improvement processes.

Service Offer
The Research Support Hub is structured along four functions representing the research life-cycle, each with its offer of services, and each connected to internal and external partners.
Data Hub
Data management is a core part of the RSH's support for SMRC projects, and one of the most technically demanding and fast-evolving areas of research support. To meet this need, the RSH has moved this function into a dedicated structure: the SMRC Data Hub. The Data Hub provides centre-wide support for research data platforms, systems, workflows, and governance — from data collection and management through to secure storage, access, and long-term stewardship, helping SMHC research teams work with consistent, compliant, and future-ready data practices, including REDCap setup and support.
