Our commitment
St. Mary's Research Centre is part of Santé Québec Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal - Universitaire. It protects personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, as modernized by Law 25.
This site is designed to collect as little information as possible: you can browse all of it without creating an account or providing any information about yourself.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no audience measurement tools, no advertising cookies and no profiling or location technology. Fonts are served by the site itself, without calling an external service.
A single technical cookie exists: it is set only for Centre staff previewing content before publication. It is never set for visitors.
Information collected
Emails — if you write to us, your message and contact details are used only to reply to you and are kept according to the institution's rules.
Technical logs — like any website, our host briefly records the IP address, browser and requested page to keep the site running and secure.
Hosting and transfers outside Quebec
The site is hosted by Vercel and its content is managed in Sanity. These providers may process technical logs on servers located outside Quebec, including in the United States. No visitor personal information is stored in the content management system.
Third-party content
The Knowledge Transfer page embeds YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): Google sets cookies only if you start playback. The Contact page displays an OpenStreetMap map, whose server receives your IP address to display the map tiles.
Links to other sites — social networks, partners, external documents — lead to services governed by their own privacy policies.
Security
Every page is served over HTTPS. The site enforces a content security policy that limits the resources a browser will load, and content access tokens never leave the server.
Your rights and contacting us
You may request access to personal information about you, its correction, or the withdrawal of your consent. Write to research.stmary@ssss.gouv.qc.ca: your request will be forwarded to the institution's person in charge of the protection of personal information.
If you believe your information has not been handled in accordance with the law, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
