SMRC student Jennifer Ritonja received the Cancer Research Society Next Generation of Scientists award, which aims to support the most promising postdoctoral fellows in becoming next generation's leading researchers.

The first part of this award will support her current project under Dr. Anita Koushik's supervision, examining how the timing of obesity and physical activity during adulthood impacts ovarian cancer risk. The second portion will support Jennifer's research once securing a faculty position, where she plans to examine how changes in breast density, particularly during the menopausal transition, influence future breast cancer risk.
